Cutshall-King was born in Saratoga Springs, NY, and lives in upstate New York with his wife. Among his various careers, he has worked on Wall Street, in a salvage operation, as a restaurant manager, as a museum director, and, most recently, as a vice president for institutional advancement for a community college. For nineteen years he wrote a column on regional history for the daily newspaper the Post-Star and for ten years wrote and produced a radio program on regional history, broadcast on WWSC-AM/WCKM-FM. He is also the author of several books of local history: “Hospital by the Falls”; “Con Amore–the Italian History of Fort Edward”; and “Cornerstone of the Future: a History of the First Presbyterian Church of Glens Falls, NY.” He also “co-edited Sherlock Holmes, Victorian Sleuth to Modern Hero,” with Sally Sugarman and Charles R. Putney.
